Brand Strategy, Marketing, Illustration, Packaging

Challenge:

Indigo Gardens had a solid brand and was growing slowly. It was time to ramp up their business development and arm the team with tools to increase brand awareness and get the job done.

Solution:

We worked closely with their leadership team to find new ways to interact with the cannabis retail market and inspire sales. The result was focused on the most underrepresented people in cannabis: budtenders. Think of them as a bartender, the people who are most likely to make recommendations and guide consumer behavior—ultimately driving sales on the frontline.

Keeping both budtenders and customers in mind, we developed new brand messaging, illustrations, tool kits, packaging and branded gear that focused on utility and quality of life.

We started by developing a "budtender kit," giving them practical branded tools that highlighted their expertise. We then started to craft surreal collages that tied back into nature without feeling generic or overly sophisticated. The imagery was translated into postcards for dispensaries to give away with purchases, a new packaging + labeling system and even yoga pants!
